REPORT - KAY DRAKE 522727
Otford Parish Council is forming a Village Design Statement Group.
The statement will describe in a defined manner the environment of the community,
and assist in preserving the character of the village throughout inevitable changes.
The group is expected to start work soon and if you are interested in joining
them, to help maintain the best of our village, please contact the parish office
on 01959 524808. Further volunteers are also needed to join the Emergency Team
who assist with any village problems that arise such as rising river water and
flooding. If you can help please contact the parish office.
The Parish office has two reports available. One concerns the proposed changes
to the M25 and the other the proposed airport at Cliffe. The changes to the M25
in Kent involve widening it to four lanes, except between the M20 and the Sevenoaks
junctions, and other works deemed essential if motorway journeys are not to become
slower and less reliable. The PCC has commented on both reports stating the problems
associated with the proposals. |
