Otford Players will be performing 'Tons
of Money' Alan
Ayckbourn's adaptation of the play by Will Evans and Valentine, on March 11th
, 12th and 13th. This is a comedy / farce and was the first of the famous Aldwych
farces with mistaken identities and 'things not what they seem' abounding. Performances
start at 8.00p.m. in the Memorial Hall and tickets cost £4

Memorial Hall every month and today (19th ) Stoney Parsons will be giving a
talk entitled ' Modern
Stained Glass'. She will be showing slides of her work and explaining what
is involved from design to manufacture. All visitors are very welcome with your

make the Valentine's Charity Dinner a really great evening - one to remember!! Many
thank you's.... from 61 people who all had a great
time!! So many of you worked really hard beforehand and then during the evening
with ideas, planning, decorations, cleaning, preparations, cooking, serving,
waiting, more cleaning, washing up, more washing up, drying up, putting away
and working together SO well - a real dream team - fantastic!!
We will b in touch again when we know how much has been raised 4 R 3 charities...!

Demonstration.
We are holding a Flower Arrangement Demonstration in the Club
Room of the Otford Village Memorial Hall on FRIDAY 20 TH FEBRUARY AT 2.30PM.
The demonstrator will be Mrs Rene Fry, a very experienced flower arranger and
judge, who gave a very successful flower demonstration for the Society two years
ago. The cost will be £2.50 for OGS members and £3.00

Otford and District wine club were unable to hold their
Wine Tasting on 28th January due to the sudden short, sharp, bout of bad weather
and hope no-one was inconvenienced by this. Their next meeting, on Wednesday
25th February, in the Memorial Hall, is a film show. There will be a variety
of films, some made in the Sevenoaks area, including travel, comedy, animation
and drama. The evening begins at 8.00p.m. and ice creams will be provided in
the interval. You are invited to go along and enjoy a night out at the cinema.

afternoon meeting of the Women’s Fellowship. |

parish prayer meeting to be held on every second Monday from 8.00-9.00p.m. in
the side room of the Church Hall. The next one will be held on Monday 9th February

the life of the church here and overseas is invited. |

Guide Christmas post box raised £155 in aid of Sight
Savers International and the guides would like to thank all those who supported
them. A small group of Otford Girl Guides, with two leaders, and taking part
in the Eye2Ei Challenge in February ‘trekking’ by Eurostar from the
London Eye to the Eiffel Tower to hand over the money, plus further amounts they
have raised already and others they are hoping to raise. |
