Otford Folk Dance Club meet tonight (24th) at 8.00p.m.
in the Church Hall and dance to ‘Footnotes’ band with Eddie calling.
There will be the usual range of folk, square and barn dances of English, American,
Scottish and Irish origin and your first visit is free including tea/coffee and
biscuits. If you’ve never tried folk dancing its great fun and you will

RADIO, Residents Against Development In Otford, held their
inaugural meeting last Wednesday and were pleased to welcome local SDC councillors
Jack Malan and Leon Baker, Mr Brian Woods of WS Planning, who will represent
SDC at the public inquiry on the 22/23 and 24th November, and Ken Gunderson of
the Otford Society amongst many others. The most urgent topic at this meeting
was the Well Road public inquiry and local residents are being sought who have
knowledge of history/archaeology of the area, environment and wildlife and highway
issues who would be prepared to speak at the Inquiry. They would like as many
residents as possible to attend the Inquiry at SDC offices in Argyle Road, starting
at 10.00a.m. on the 22nd November and if you intend to speak at the meeting they
would be grateful if you would let them know so that the response from the village
can be co-ordinated. Membership of RADIO is free and you can help preserve the
