Otford Village Fete will be held this year on Bank Holiday Monday May 28 at 1.00pm on the recreation ground with the fete parade setting off from Hale Lane at 12.30 and making its way to the fete arena. This year’s theme is Water which will feature strongly in the design of both floats and stalls.
The fete committee held a logo design competition with the children of Otford Primary School to design a graphic that had a water based theme. All of the entries received were of a high standard and took the theme of water to heart. The committee were delighted at the effort and thought that went into all the entries. The winner was Amelia Lewis who drew a colourful village scene with water feature and this has now been adopted as the official Otford village fete logo. Amelia was presented with the winning prize of a framed photograph from the Harry Potter movie, signed by the three stars.
