The VDS is a document which will outline the community's vision regarding future planning within the parish and needs as much community involvement as possible. It is hoped it will become part of the planning process for the parish by the SDC. There will be guided walk-abouts at which village members can take photos, discuss and make notes about what they like and dislike about aspects of each area - cameras and film supplied free. Each group's notes and photos will be mounted and used as part of the final document. For more information contact Rod Shelton 0778 090 3571 or email rod.shelton@tiscali.co.uk |

Train noise information has been received by Leon Baker, District Councillor, who has been advised that the whistle boards at Pilgrim's Way have been removed and the application by Network Rail to close the Pilgrim's Way Crossing has been withdrawn. This is great news as it bodes well for similar removal of the whistle boards at Cator's Crossing. You may recall a promise was made some time ago that an effort would be made, by cutting back the vegetation, to improve the sight lines at Cator's. Leon is not standing for re-election on the 3rd May so any further information on this matter will be dealt with by his successor. After 34 years in Otford we all wish Leon and Catherine good luck in their new home and thank him for his unfailing efforts on our behalf. |
