Otford Parish Plan - First Report on Progress January 2012

The Otford Parish Plan is in two parts:

PART ONE of the Plan is the main document which you can view online here, or purchase from the Parish Office (£3.50). It has taken two years in its formulation and the result is a clear road-map for the whole community. It identifies those concerns that the community has indicated they were most concerned about and suggests the ways in which we might address those concerns.

As you will see, the Plan covers a very wide range of subjects which have effect upon our lives – pedestrian safety, staying fit, coping with the problems of getting older, how we might help our local economy and ways in which we might help make our village more attractive.

PART TWO of the Plan deals with the particulars of precisely how the community might wish to approach each perceived problem and deal with it. It is based upon groups of people taking responsibility to take forward a particular idea to its resolution. That's why the format (Excel spreadsheet) indicates who will be the project contact, what sort of timescale may be involved and what (if any) organisations may be able to help us achieve our aims. It is important to realise that this is a 'living' document which will be amended and changed with time as goals are achieved or aims changed. You can read this detailed document online here or it is available as a stapled document (no charge) from the Parish Office.
