2nd Sept	A Service of Thanksgiving was held to celebrate the opening of the Church Centre. The preacher at the service was the Archdeacon of tonbridge, Revd Clive Mansell. At this service items directly concerned with the planing, building and future use of the centre were placed on a table to signify the hard work and many gifts that had gone into the completion of the centre.
22nd July	Following a Confirmation Service the Bishop of rochester Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali dedicated the new church centre

22 Jan 07	Today was the first of our tile signing events. Some 250 children, staff and parents from Otford Primary School came to the church to sign the reverse of roof tiles to be used on the church extension. Russell House School will be doing the same in early Feb with the opportunity for members of the church and community to sign tiles at about 10.30am on Sundays 4th and 11th of February. Children sign for free, adults pay £5.00.

21 Aug 06	The contractors, Simmonds of Wrotham, began work today. Work on the foundations are due to begin in the coming weeks. The building work is hoped to be completed in May 2007

12 June 06	The site preparatory work started today. A team of specialists were appointed to carefully clear the extension site ready for the contractors to arrive in August.
20 May 06	Another opportuntiy to fund raise at the St Bart's Table Top Sale. This time at the Village Hall, We sold table top space to other people. The weather was dreadful and the turn out not as great as we had hoped. However, some money was raised (every little bit helps!).
06 May 06	Harry Christophers and The Sixteen provided us with a terrific fund raising concert. The concert was a complete sellout and in the region of £7,000 was raised. Our thanks especially go to Harry and members of The Sixteen and to all those who, regardless of the weather, made this memorable evening possible.
01 May 06	Talents Table Top Sale. Church Hall 10am-12noon. This is the opportunity for people to sell the things they have produced with the £10 talents money. There will be many and varried things for sale: pictures, scarves, jewellery, marmalade, cakes and much more. May Update [details]

18 Mar 06	Roast Dinner with musical entertainment. A great time was had by everyone.Special thanks must go to Julian and Christine Cheswick to provided, cooked and served what was a lovely meal. thanks also to Kevin Grafton and menbers of The Choir, Jean Kelsey and members of Bartholomew and Livvy Howie and her friends for some excellent entertainment.

29 Aug 05	The Super Summer Sale was held in the Chuch Hall, Otford. It was well supported by villagers and visitors alike. A terrific total of over £1,400 was raised for the Building On project. Well done everyone.

17 Apr 05	25th London Marathon Douglas Howie completed the marathon in 4h 8min 51 secs Sunday. Money raised is for the St Bart's Building On project. WELL DONE DOUGLAS![read more]
05 MAR 05	The Auction of Promises was held by St Bartholomew’s Church, Otford on Saturday 5th March in Otford Primary School. Over 100 people attended the auction and through their generosity, and that of those who sent in advance bids, in the region of £6,000 was raised for the Building On project. Well done everyone.

15 JAN 05	Forty children from St Bartholomew’s Church, Otford enjoyed a ‘We have lift-off!’ Party at the village Memorial Hall recently to launch the Church Building On Project. Lucy Moore from the Bible Reading Fellowship entertained the children with lively drama games, while church helpers inflated balloons bearing the project logo and explained the project to Mums and Dads over tea.
