Much preparatory work has been going on behind the scenes to enable the building of our new extension to commence in early 2006. Architect Roger Joyce has been getting to grips with the project, including measuring the church in relation to pipe work and levels. Over the next few months, Roger will be overseeing a detailed survey of the church and churchyard and finalising the detailed drawings necessary to complete the building. In the autumn, he’ll assemble the tender documents for approval by the PCC prior to issuing them to builders.

In addition, draft plans have been drawn up for the necessary work for disabled access and toilets in the Church Hall, and these are under discussion.

We are now more than two-thirds of the way towards our fundraising target thanks to your generosity and the success of various fundraising events. Plans are underway for further events, details of which will be posted on the board at the back of church and on this website. Please do support them. The parish office would also be very pleased to hear from anyone who would be prepared to hold a fundraising event, however small. Practical help, including publicising your event, is available from the Fundraising Team, led by Bill Lattimer.
