Much preparatory work has been going on behind the scenes to enable the building of our new extension to commence in early 2006.
Architect Roger Joyce has been getting to grips with the project, including measuring the church in relation to pipe work and levels. Over the next few months, Roger will be overseeing a detailed survey of the church and churchyard and finalising the detailed drawings necessary to complete the building. In the autumn, he’ll assemble the tender documents for approval by the PCC prior to issuing them to builders.
We are now more than two-thirds of the way towards our fundraising target thanks to the success of the ’Secret gardens’ weekend and other events.
