Secret Gardens in Otford
4th & 5th June 2005

The Secret Gardens weekend to raise money for the Building On fund was an extremely busy and happy occasion with many villagers and visitors enjoying the 10 gardens that had opened to the public. They also enjoyed buying plants, cakes, jams, books and T-shirts and eating cream teas and ice creams.  The Teddy Bear Aerial Runway was a huge attraction. Some 300 bears and assorted animals including a dragon, Mickey Mouse and an orangutan bravely descended from the top of the tower after first being checked out by Dr. Pete to make sure they were 'fit to fly'.  Following their safe landing each bear received a signed certificate to prove how courageous they had been.

Over £4,000 was raised over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported this event.
