News Otford Tennis Club has been awarded "Tennis Clubmark" After over a year of reviewing the club's programmes, facilities, and practices, submitting evidence and inspections from by the LTA, on 5 May Otford was awarded Tennis Clubmark accreditation.
On awarding Clubmark to Otford, Harri Norford of the LTA said"It's really very good that Otford, as a small village club, has gained Clubmark accreditation in common with the big tennis centres in the country. This shows that the club has an excellent offering for players, that it is well-managed and has a clear vision for the future. Well done Otford!" Many thanks are due to the many club volunteers who helped with the process of gaining this accreditation. Court painting complete The top courts are looking and feeling really excellent, following re-surfacing and re-painting. If you've not been down since they were done then come and try them out. Forthcoming Events Tournament Finals & Barbecue Saturday 4 September, from 12.30pm Our Finals Day takes place on Saturday 5 September. All members and their families and other supporters are most welcome! The first finals begin at 12.30pm, the barbecue will be running through the afternoon to the evening. Please come down for all or just part of the day. Those people not playing in the finals are welcome to help by being a line judge. Coaching For autumn term coaching, see Coaching. Club Tournaments Summer tournament - adults The main club tournament is now under-way - to see the draw and all the results so far click here. If you can see who your next opponent is then please make arrangements to play now. After each match mark the results in the clubhouse and send them to David Fordyce.
