News News of Annual General Meeting, 1 March The AGM was held in the village hall, and was followed by cheese & wine. We were pleased to welcome Roger Smith and Harri Norford from Kent LTA. The most important resolutions were:
See the full AGM minutes here. New gate - your old key must be exchanged We have a new gate in place at the entrance to the club, giving access to the entire club grounds. This incorporates a new lock, so members who have a key for the padlock need to exchange this for a key for the new gate. Contact Alison Dykes, or bring your old key to the club AGM on 1 March. Court re-surfacing - complete Re-surfacing of the top 2 courts has been completed - except for final painting which will happen at Easter - probably in the week beginning 12 April (but check back here for updates) - they will be out of action for a few days at that time; the bottom court will remain in use throughout. Thank you for your patience during the re-surfacing work. Newsletter The latest club newsletter is available here: Tickets for Wimbledon If you'd like to enter the club draw for a pair of tickets, which will be held at the club on Sunday 25 April, then send an e-mail to Julian Ward by 24 April. Membership renewals now due! The new membership year starts on 1 April. Current members, please return the renewal form with a subscriptions cheque - details are on the form. Full and Midweek members can benefit from a discount when renewing before 1 April. You can use the same form to enter the ballot for Wimbledon tickets and the main club tournament, if you've not done so already. Forthcoming Events Working party - Sunday 21 March As a village club run by volunteers, we are appreciative of occasional help from members in doing maintenance jobs at the club. We're having a working party on Sunday 21 March, 10.00am - 12.00noon - anyone is welcome to come and join in! No special skills needed, every extra pair of hands will help. Drop an e-mail to enquiries@otfordtennis.org.uk so we know to expect you. Questionnaire - please give us your views We think we have a very nice club at Otford - but we really want to know what you think and how we can make it better for members. Please help us by spending a few minutes to complete our members' survey. It honestly won't take long, and there's a to win 50% discount on your membership subscription (if you submit your responses by 31 March). Club Tournament Adult members - send your entries for this year's main tournament to David Fordyce, or tick the appropriate boxes on the membership renewal form, by 15 May. Doubles partners will be drawn for you at random. Finals Day is Saturday 4 September, 12.30pm - please make sure you are available on this day if you enter any of the events!
