The next fete is being held on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May 2010.
As the excitement for the forthcoming World Cup begins to gather momentum the Fete Committee has started to make arrangements for the annual Fete, and it will be no surprise to hear that we have chosen The World Cup as our theme. This year we will open at 12 noon. The procession will also start earlier leaving Hale Lane at 11.30am. If you would like to have a float in this year’s event please email jackycot@hotmail.co.uk
Dog Show Once again we are delighted that Elands Veterinary Clinic has agreed to run the dog show. Last year proved so successful that many visitors were disappointed that they were not able to enter their dogs in any of the categories. With this in mind please ensure that you register early. Registration opens at 12noon and the first class will start at 1.00pm. Elands programme of classes can be found under Dog Show.
Live Music Live music will also feature prominently. We will have live bands as well as two tribute singers. We are delighted that Alex Banks (aka Frank Sinatra) and RattleMac, who regularly play at The Crown and who came to our fete last year, will be coming along again to entertain our visitors. In addition we have Gary King singing favourite Elvis songs from the 50s and 60s whilst Lovebeats will be entertaining visitors in the Memorial Hall during afternoon tea. And finally we have something very special. Rock Choir described as the largest, most popular contemporary choir in the world. We hope there is something for every taste.
Fun Attractions As usual we will have bouncy castles, a mega slide, our very own Bobbo the Clown ably supported by Mrs Bobbo, Punch and Judy shows, a road train, carousels and coconut shy as well as Hotshots Soccer School. This year we also have a Warlords Re-enactment group. These are only some of the attractions that have been booked.
Food and Beverage Naturally you will be able to purchase food from the Scouts BBQ, or enjoy afternoon tea in the Memorial Hall. There will also be donuts, candyfloss, homemade fudge and a delicious chocolate fountain as well as a beer tent. Hopefully, something for everyone.

Volunteers The committee has been filled but we still need your help. The fete involves a lot of organisation and we need your help for the big day. If you can spare us one hour or five, we want to hear from you.
