9 February 2007: Village Fete Logo Competition Winner Announced
The Otford Village Fete will be taking place on 28 May this year. The theme for this year’s parade and fancy dress competition is Water.
The fete is a truly village affair and this year the fete committee held a logo design competition with the children of Otford Primary School. They were asked to design a graphic that had a water based theme.
All of the entries received were of a high standard and took the theme of water to heart. The committee were delighted at the effort and thought that went into their work.
The winning entry came from Amelia Lewis who drew a colourful village scene with water feature. This picture has now been reproduced in the official Otford Village Fete logo.

Amelia was presented with the winning prize of a framed photograph from the Harry Potter movie, signed by the three stars.
Runners up in the competition were Charlie Jessey and Sonny Denham who also received a certificate.
The fete committee would like to thank all those who took part. You will be able to see the logo in all official fete correspondence or at the local Parish Council office.
The fete committee is currently talking to all societies and clubs within Otford about taking part in this year’s parade. If you are interested in taking part please contact Jacky Cottrell on 01959 525870 or email villagefete@otford.net.
